The Steering Committee (STEERCOM) is a two-way conduit between the PROTECT partners and the Coordinator’s Executive Office. The STEERCOM reviews the periodic project plans, monitors progress and reports on behalf of the PROTECT partners. It functions as a supervisory body and ensures that the Coordinator’s Executive Office functions according to the directions given by the commitments to the EU and the instructions by the partners. The STEERCOM has unrestricted access to examine any part of the project work. The STEERCOM was elected by PROTECT’s General Assembly at its first gathering in Brussels on 9 March 2020.
