Coordination and Management
In order to reach the objectives set, PROTECT puts together a management and coordination team that ensures both scientific quality and administrative conformity. Scientific management looks after the coordination amongst partners and the integration of the various streams of the project. Administrative management ensures the agreements signed by the project coordinator, the partners and the European Commission are duly implemented. In addition, PROTECT comprises a Knowledge Management and Innovation Task Board (KNOWBOARD) and a Research Ethics and Gender Task Board (REGBOARD) to handle horizontal issues. The former watches over the quality of research activities (theory and method for instance) whilst the latter monitors ethics- and gender-related issues.
PROTECT is managed and coordinated from the University of Bergen and is led by Professor Hakan G. Sicakkan.
